My Journey
A Path to Wellness

Movement has always been my source of freedom—both in my body and my soul. As a child, I lived in motion—rolling down hills, running through the woods, chasing sunsets on my bike. That deep connection to movement stayed with me, shaping not only my life but my career in health and wellness. What began as innocent joy became the foundation of my coaching philosophy: health that is joyful, intentional, and sustainable.

From Passion to Profession

At Duke Integrative Medicine, I honed a holistic approach to well-being—working closely with clients to design personalized health plans that honor the mind, body, and spirit. I came to understand that true wellness is never one-dimensional; it’s a layered, dynamic journey that requires compassion and clarity at every step.
Struggling & Stuck

Despite my training and experience, there was a time I felt completely disconnected from my own health. I was carrying an extra 40 pounds, hiding in baggy clothes, and running on empty—juggling work, raising children, and caring for aging parents.
Even with all my knowledge, I found myself trapped in a cycle of emotional eating and sugar addiction—chasing short term fixes that never truly worked. I knew something had to change.
Eventually, I stopped looking outward for solutions and began to turn inward. I realized I didn’t need another plan—I needed a reset from the inside out.

The Shift to a Holistic, Mindful Approach

When I finally embraced a mindful, multidimensional approach and chose to put myself back on the priority list, everything changed.

• I swapped scattered workouts for a consistent, strength-focused program.
• I added hot yoga for flexibility, mindfulness, and inner stillness.
• I made small, meaningful habit shifts that added up to big results.
• I adopted a personalized nutrition plan that worked with—not against—my body.
Week by week, I felt more alive. Joy returned. To stay committed, I needed a goal that both scared and excited me. At 53 years old, I competed in my first all-natural bikini bodybuilding competition – proving it is never too late to reclaim your health and confidence.

Imperfectly Whole

This transformation ignited a passion in me to expand my expertise in personal training and nutrition coaching—so I could partner with others to feel the same vitality, strength and peace I discovered.

Over time, I’ve learned that true health isn’t about perfection—it’s about wholeness, progress, and grace. My journey continues to evolve, and I’ve come to understand that letting go of what no longer serves me is just as important as reaching for what does.
“Imperfectly whole” has become my mantra. It reflects my commitment to living with authenticity, resilience, and joy—one mindful step at a time.
If you’re ready to build strength, improve your health, lose weight, reclaim your energy, or simply feel like yourself again, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll create a plan that supports your life—holistically, realistically, kindly—and with a splash of fun.
